10/20/13 ITS HOMECOMING 4CALVIN STUDENTS! (I always loved homecoming @ calvin college...where I spent a significant part of my life from '85 -89 & from '92-94 & from '96-97 as well as pre-college years living in grand rapids...my dad made sure we attended calvin basketball games...he himself being a former calvin bball star...& having a lot of "knight pride"...but it was my original undergrad years when I was living in the dorms (beets) that I really caught calvin pride..and enjoyed the homecoming events...including throwing our R.A. (resident administrator? ) in the seminary pond (an annual tradition...do they still do that?) but I don't recall dutch pole vault...nonetheless we had a lot of good fun with a lot of good kids....yes we were/are a "Christian college" but not fundamentalist..)
