Calvin Theological Seminary underwent a major, comprehensive building renovation from spring 2021 to spring 2022.
Handled by Rockford Construction and Integrated Architecture, this six-phase project modernized roughly 60,000 square feet of the facility originally built in 1959. The updates focused on upgrading educational technology, reshaping classrooms for collaborative learning, expanding the welcome center and natural light, and refreshing the chapel, student center, and faculty offices.
Following that interior overhaul, the seminary also broke ground on a separate $20 million residential student housing project in 2024, which opened in late October 2025.
