PRAY4

PRAYING FOR MY BELOVED CRC MEMBERS & CALVIN COLLEGE et al to NOT ACQUIESCE TO FAR-LEFT LIBERALISM TO TRY TO BE ‘COOL’:

JESUS SAID: “I pray not that thou should take them out of the world, but that thou should keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

CALVIN KNIGHT SPORTS REPORT FOR APRIl 4, 2016

Baseball Drops Game at Hope;
Wasserberger Featured in NCAA D3 Week Spotlight

BASEBALL
Hope 8, Calvin 0

HOLLAND, Mich. – The Flying Dutchmen topped the Calvin baseball team on a cold and snowy day in Holland, Michigan. Hope won the seven-inning game, 8-0. The two teams will finish the second game of the double header at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. The game was called off in the first inning due to poor visibility due to the weather.

The Knights had their opportunities in game one but were not able to capitalize against the Flying Dutchmen. Calvin finished game one with eight runners left on base, including three with the bases loaded in the third inning.

Senior Jordan VanderWall (Wyoming, Mich./South Christian) and freshman Steven Seager (Plantation, Fla./Plantation) both recorded two hits in game one.

Sophomore Ryan Stewart (Detroit, Mich./Parkway Christian) took the loss on the mound in the first game. Freshman Logan Walker (Imlay City, Mich./Lapeer East) threw two innings on Monday with two strikeouts.

The game will resume in the top of the first inning with Calvin having runners on first and second base with one out.

Monday's feature is on senior Kyle Wasserberger of the Calvin baseball team. A kinesiology major, Wasserberger has found success both in and out of the classroom at Calvin.
